2012 Prophecy

So what is it really with the year 2012? From the Mayan Calendar to the predictions of Nostradamus, and ancient prophecies to modern day speculations – all have created various conclusions regarding 2012 as a cataclysmic event that everyone should be warned about. Will the Mayan Calendar’s prediction of 2012 as the year that the earth’s cycle will end is actually the end of the world itself?

Besides the Mayan Calendar’s calculations of a catastrophic event that the natural world will undergo in 2012, Nostradamus has also predicted that the Antichrist shall come within such time. From Nostradamus’ book Les Propheties (The Prophecies), all of the events such as the Sept 11 attacks and natural disasters all lead to a possible climax that will shook the world over.

Although New Age followers have believed that 2012 should not be seen as the end, but as an opening of a new beginning – a start of a new era for the entire world. The human beings and the planet will go through perhaps the greatest transformation in nature and spirituality. Books, documentaries, movies, prophecies and signs as seen from the news have all debated that 2012 as a possible apocalypse, or perhaps a rebirth for the entire world.
