Trigger launched the Survive 2012 iPhone game for Sony’s release of the movie 2012. The free quiz game challenges players to test their survival skills by answering disaster-related trivia questions. Players must answer each question in this game correctly so as to reach higher ground in Tibet and escape the natural catastrophes bound to happen in 2012.

Get your trivia skills ready as you will be able to test your knowledge regarding land, air and sea disasters. There is also a “Lifeline” feature which allows iPhone users to call someone for help in their contact list. Another cool feature of this game is that it has a GPS locator to indicate where the player’s starting position is.

2012: Apocalypse

The 2012: Apocalypse iPhone app has 30 story level s – each challenging you to navigate through killer windstorms, massive earthquakes, deadly firestorms and a maze of obstacles along the way. You have to collect gems and items while controlling an aggravating storm to keep the city’s buildings safe from harm.

There is also an alternative game mode that comes with this iPhone app wherein you can rampage through cities for an all exploding adventure.

The Odyssey 2012

This iPhone game application is a prequel to Odyssey: The Trail of Tears. The game starts with the main protagonists (a young couple) camping out on the mountains of Sierra Nevada. They are about to have one heck of an adventure as they encounter the cataclysmic forces of nature as they scheduled their camping trip in perfect timing on the final day of 2012. You have to go through all the obstacles – ranging from all natural disasters predicted to happen in 2012 – in order to survive and live through the greatest test humankind will ever experience.

The emergence of these virtual game must-haves just goes to show that the 2012 End of the World hype just found its way to people’s most wanted gadget. If only the real thing was as easy to dodge around like a fun iPhone game.

Michel de Nostredame, or famously known as Nostradamus, is one of the most controversial persona in history due to his eerie prophecies that many claim to have actually come true – even centuries beyond his death. As a French Renaissance figure, he is accounted to his various contributions to medicine as an apothecary. He is best known for his book Les Propheties (The Prophecies) which garnered him a lot of followers that up until now connect major past and future events as accurately predicted by him.

He is credited to have predicted the reign of Napoleon and Hitler, and the subsequent terror they have caused in their time. He is also known to have accurately prophesied the Sept 11 attacks with the following words:

“In the year of the new century and nine months, from the sky will come a great King of Terror…The sky will burn at forty-five degrees. Fire approaches the great new city…In the city of York there will be a great collapse, two twin brothers torn apart by chaos. While the fortress falls the great leader will succumb, third big war will begin when the big city is burning.”

Nostradamus’ predictions led to one significant worldwide event after another. In a view point, the human race may not have truly prepared to avoid such catastrophes. Could we actually use his predictions to prepare ourselves not to be again devastated by another upcoming disaster?
